Hi, Donna, Debs, PE! wave

You're very welcome for that link to the TV news story - how could I NOT post it, proud eagleholic that I am?!? Rolling on floor laughing

PE - so sorry for the delay to answering your question, GF...first time I've been back to this thread since I posted it. Oooooooh, to be retired - or at LEAST have more hours in a day....sigh........Wink

I looked all OVER the place for any new info about Star, Spirit and the Kent nest but couldn't find anything newer than 2009...I'm assuming they relocated their nest to another tree after it collapsed. Sorry I don't have more info! :dunno:

Kat....I'm so sorry that Star and Spirit have disappeared from view!! I really loved that pair! I think they were the very first eagles that I ever watched so it's their fault that I'm an eagleholic!! Grin Bless their little eagle hearts!! Wub

It has always been a pleasure to watch feedings here at this nest. Although in the beginning there was just a bit of pecking, these parents have always been the most fair feeders that I've seen in any nest. Either both parents have been there each feeding a chick or the parent doing the feeding has gone back and forth between the two giving each nearly the same amount...it's been amazing!

Mom took the food from Dad and started to feed the eaglets.

The eaglet on the left who is always in the prominent place in the nest looks a little larger than the other one.I'm going to guess that she is a female and the other eaglet who mainly lives between the two tree trunks is a male....just a guess!

The smaller one backs up to the edge and shoots a big one. Titter

Then he comes out to the middle and does some nice hopping and flapping. Clapping

Not to be outdone by little brother, she does a nice bit of flapping and hopping around herself.
