Georgeous sunset! Thank you, eaglewoman.

Will be glad when we start seeing them on the cam more often too. Grin

I swear, eaglewoman, your video just keep getting better and better. Absolutely breathtaking. True "California Gold", for sure. You need to send this one to Huell Howser. Grin

Have not caught anybody at home on the nest today. I keep looking.

Thanks so much CAL04!
Here's one more of the pair mating. Lots of chatting in the background on these last few videos, I had a couple of families watching with me so I'm talking with them and answering their questions and adjusting my spotting scope to just the right height!
Listen for the Wows from the kids! Love it!

And, I think it has more to do with my subjectsSitting eagleSitting eagle that I am videotaping than the person behind the camera, CAL04!Titter

Here's one from tonite, Thursday 1/27/11 with nice close ups in the nest again. They sure seem like they are getting serious about that nest cup/bowl these days! Maybe they'll drop one sooner than last year?!?

This video is from last night around 5:40 when P & L mated. Now, I noticed that Liberty does not peck at Pat at the end of the mating session like she usually does? Could this mean she is ready to accept him now? See what you think...

:hello:
You have got to see this video I captured on Friday night at dusk...

Liberty was sitting up there by the nest looking for her mate, when a swarm of American Robins began gathering in a tree behind her. Suddenly, the whole group of robins lifted off and filled the air as they swarmed by Liberty. She sits there, completely unfazed by the robins!!!

This is a sight to see in person, and I haven't seen it down there in a few years, so it was a thrill to see the robins have returned to Turtle Bay!Very Happy

And one more video for you of P & L calling a bunch!!!
They were more vocal than I had ever heard them tonite! It was just beautiful to listen to, I could listen to that all night long!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cU9RsGl9KsE

And, guess who showed up again tonite? Right before P & L were going to mate, the intruder adult eagle came flying into the nest area!!! Well that made them call even more! But the crazy thing was, that this eagle landed on a branch right below the pair, and they did NOT chase it off?!? They just started calling to it, and I think I could hear a different call than I had heard before, so I think it was calling back? It got too dark to film it, but I'll see if I can still post it.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening at other nests? Right before egg laying time?
