White Rock 2010/11 ~ Bald Eagle Nest Cam

I am loving the White Rock nest. I forgot how much I loved the little ones watching the Decorah eaglets grow so FAST!

One of the questions we have had is about the sway of the tree. Is it the camera that is swaying or the tree? From the background it looks like the tree but from the closeup cam it doesn't appear to move that much.

Dumb question I know.

Nice to finally be here

ok trying to add this picture one more time this is the one of what I think was an intruder to the tree but I a few say it was dad but she didn't act like it was dad when it was coming near or was on the branch and once it flew off she was fine again and settled right down... if this picture doesn't come out this time I'm done trying sorry for so many post about this Click on image to download

Good Tuesday Morning WR,

WELCOME Bonnie Good to have you here!
Check your PMs.

10:33a - Just came in to see Charlie and Delta being fed. I was near the end
so missed most of it but did see both being fed.

10:34a - Single calls and answers from offnest I believe.
Mom rocks and is settled facing 10 (WA)

WELCOME suzcues......Nice to have you here at this beautiful nest with
a beautiful family. The tree sways but not as bad as it looks. You can kinda tell
how hard the wind is blowing by focusing on the greenery on the tree in the wide
angle view. Btw, there are NO dumb questions!

ETA: - bonnie - That is Dad in your s'cap. They may have sounded alarmed
because of a perceived threat.

Adult in with some sort of food (I think) - it looks sort of like a crab shell to me - which might be something they could find along the beach, if there's a beach where people picnic along Boundary Bay.

Pic for the record:

Both adults were on the nest, and I think the one who had been brooding left, and the new arrival is taking over.

He appeared to make a couple of calls after he arrived and the chicks went flat in the nest (what we call "flatlet, for flat eaglet) - perhaps someone else was interested in what he brought.
