Mornin Hoda and my Tx

I meant to post this first thing this morning so you all could check it. I figured it had to be a shadow but then when I blew it up to 300% it looked like a piece of shell was missing. I'll let you guys have a go at it. Question would be though, if it was a piece of shell missing why wouldn't the eaglet be out of the shell by now

It was taken last night at 11:41

look up from your arrow and you will see the exact pattern from the eagles neck white feathers. It is a shadow.Thank you for your picture.

oh good, the feather does match! thanks for that. I've got today as the 39th day and that's if you count the 13th that it was laid on. Do we start the count there or wait a full day to the 14th, in which case, this would be the 38th day

Yes my Tx that would be worrying and why I wanted to post it so somebody could wipe that thought off my brain Titter

7:51 Ma just brooding and looking her pretty self

Good Morning All on Wed.-04/20/11, the 38th day since Mom layed the
first egg.
It's so nice to see so many - thanks for all the s'caps and videos.

JudyB - Most of the time when food is brought unless it's a fish, it has been very
difficult to tell what it is. The remains in the nest has a wing so it is some sort of black
bird.

The differences I have always seen between Mom and Dad are:
Her collar feather pattern is different than his - her's are what I call 'messier'. Her head
across the top is slightly 'broader'. She is also broader across the 'shoulders'. His head
feathers are sleeker. The upper part of her beak also appears to be larger. At times, I
admit, I can be confused until I watch for a bit and observe behaviour as well as get a
good look at feather patterns. Hope this helps along with what Lori said. When they are
together, it is easy to see the differences.

HI TX - I agree from the 13th to the 14th is the first day.

BRB

Thank You......Annie. The napping habit of Dad is an easy give-away for me.

Feeling any better?

I got this email from KarenB so this answers that and I was right it is day 38 for egg one. Maybe jkr Judy can put the day in with the weather here also?

Hi Lori....I was looking at the WR thread to see if there were any pictures of pips. I saw your comment thinking that today is 39 days since the egg was laid. It is the 38th. First egg was laid on Sunday, Mar. 13 so 35 days later was Sunday, Apr. 17. That's how the days are counted. Normally the eggs hatch 35 days later at the earliest......K.

Out to start our lunch

8:00-37a - Mom has been incubating in this position since I came in. She
is facing 3 (WA).

8:43a - Here comes the train.

Hi TX - Yep, Dad starts snoozing almost the minute he gets settIed.
I feel better today...not so queasy. Thank you GF for asking.
