Good morning, everyone!
I totally agree with you, Sandra, about this cam view. I feel like I will be seeing bald eagle chicks for the first time on this nest in some ways.
And I'm still thinking Wednesday on the first hatch, but I'm watching the parents carefully because that will be an early indication for me if something is happening beneath. With all the debris in the nest, it's too hard to determine what's just "stuff" vs. an actual pip on the shell surface.
If they only knew how many anxious humans are out here, watching!

:hello: Good Morning WR on Tuesday - 04/19/11
Great s'caps and obvs jkr, Sandra, Pat, Tx & Lori.
I have a case of the stomach flu so not feeling very well. I'll tough it out as much
as possible. Would love a hatch today!
9:13a - Mom is brooding facing 8 (WA). Wind is calm.
Some hammering and sawing below.
9:22a - Mom got up but didn't really do an egg roll or change position much
She moved to 7(WA) and picked at the nesting a bit.
9:37a - Mom gets up but she isn't revealing the eggs and no egg roll either.
Rain is beginning to fall and the wind is beginning to pick up.
9:41a - 4 short calls and then multiple trills.

9:48-9a - Seagulls calling overhead and Mom looks up at them.
One little short, soft call. She's looking up a lot more now.
Precip. has stopped....sky sure looks stormy.
10:06a - Mom does little squeal-like calls. It sounded just like little
peeps the chicks make. She acted like she saw something flying around.
She remains facing 7 with her wings slightly out.

Is there a date beyond which the eggs are no longer viable?

I'm hoping we see her mate come along soon with a fish for her. She hasn't had a break yet today and she must be very hungry.
