Yes, I've been watcing for parent behavior also, especially last night, and I saw nothing to indicate that they feel anything going on underneath them. Usually they get up more often, stare down into the nest bowl, that type of thing.

But will be watching today-have cam up at work! fingers crossed

Good Morning WR on Monday - 04/18/11,
I see Dad is on duty and kinda leaning to the right with his wing out a bit facing 7.
I see the spot Lori that I have been thinking might be a pip on the egg in the top of
the bowl. I first spotted that two days ago and it hasn't changed.

8:06-11a - Up for just a little egg roll...adjusting nesting and settles at 1. Something
startled him a little bit. He acted like he was going to get up ; then he jumped at something
with his wings spread and starts trilling. Whatever it was, it was close.

8:14 - The 'threat' seems to have gone away...Dad is breathing through his
mouth checking things around him.

Just watched another egg roll, and there does seem to be some kind of a blemish on one of the eggs; it remained as she rolled the egg on our right. Could it be?

8:21-22a - Two short calls and then three more--not from Dad. Two more...Mom
must be near.

8:23-26a - Much trilling from Dad and offnest, most likely Mom. This trilling was
more excited than before.
Trills again just from Dad. It is obvious that the intruder is staying in the area right now.

8:28 - Short train going by horn blowing down the way. Sounds of work going
on below. Little or no wind which is a relief.

8:33 - Mom trilling off nest and Dad answers.

Dad gets up and flies out to the left. Mom arrives and rolls the eggs and
settles to brood facing 5. She is looking down as though something is going on under
her.

8:58a Mom up for an egg roll and resettles at 1.

I have a collage of the shift change but it has disappeared on me. I'll find it.
