Good morning, everyone - just wanted to let folks know that Bev is fine - but she doesn't have power so isn't able to post. Hopefully all will be fixed soon.

9:51pm - I can still see some snowflakes falling in the trees. The eagles must all be hunkered down somewhere out of the weather. I will sign off for now and hope power comes back for Bev, soon. Thanks, Judy.

Hi everyone ..wave

Thanks for the updates and zooms! Glad your power is back up, Bev. Left thumb up

I agree - hope we see Mom soon, and I wonder who the eagles we keep hearing are if one of them isn't Mom??

Hopefully, one of them is Mom and we will see her soon. fingers crossed I remember reading [DavidH?] that eagles often build an alternate nest in their territory, and I also hope that an alternate nest will not be the choice for Mom this year!

Not sure if it's still snowing, but it does look like it....Snow

Will take a look around on the NPTZ - then probably check the SPTZ if no-one is on it.

Lots of snow, and still snowing heavily..

So much snow falling that it's difficult to see the river view trees even with the SPTZ.

Morris Valley Rd. just before the turn in to the golf course. [not too much traffic there right now!]

I will put the SPTZ back on the nest for now - hopefully, we'll get a better look later...

Off the SPTZ

Thanks Yolande for the zoom..nasty day out there.. I have known of eagles building another nest in their territory also... .. and the thought crossed my mind that maybe Mom and her mate may have done that.. I am thinking that maybe and with some some luck that Mom and her mate are still getting aquatinted ,he does seem a lot younger than Mom if he is the same one that showed in the nest some time ago..

Sunday ..Oct.29 at 7:50am .....Male on the nest

Then In January .... we saw this ..Note we didn't get a look at the what we thought was Mom's new mate ..

Jan.15 at 3:15pm... Mom and New Mate on the nest

So I guess what I am trying to say..... is that I am hoping that this season maybe be like 2013 when the Honeycombs arrived on this nest March 10 and had it already for eggs in a couple of weeks..... actually the first egg that season was laid on April 5......... so time will tell.... but I am hopeful ......
