Just as I checked the cams to see if the south was back up yet, I heard 2 eagles trilling quite close. That was at 5:30 and I quickly logged in to the south cam but couldn't find them. Exciting to hear them close though. I am out now for dinner and will be away in Summerland for the weekend. I will try and check in when I can.

Sorry .I wasn't here this evening there was a crisis at another nest that I watch....... one chick fell over the nest ...not sure which one..... one is 10days old.other one is 9 days old.

Happy to know eagles were heard close to the nest .. enjoy your weekend Darlene.

9:26am - will take a look around on the NPTZ.
9:38am - I am not hearing or seeing any eagles and it has been snowing.

The nest could use some TLC as the mesh is showing through more and more. I wonder if Mom just lost her interest and instinct to work on the nest without Dad. He was always so involved in fixing it up.
