Judy thanks for posting your pictures of the Boundary Bay area. Sandra and I were down there the other day when the tide was out and I couldn't believe how "smelly" it was Titter Maybe I just noticed that more because I don't live around the ocean Whistling

Better late than never........

These photos were taken on Dec.29th/09. This property is across the road from OWL, and as it is so close to the DeltaOwl nest I'm thinking this is probably Mom and Pop. You can definitely see the size difference between them.Click on image to download

second photo is a closer view of them.

Now for some current photos.....these were taken the weekend of April 16th/10
Mom and Pop DeltaOWL enjoying the evening. That's the nest tree on the right.

Mom and Pop landed, one right after the other (this is the nest tree). As you can see from bop's photos above there is not much left of the old nest. In flight, when one adult turned the other would immediately follow the same pattern...it was awesome to watch them lovelove

Coming in for a landing in the tree they are attempting to build a nest in.
Sticks from the new nest are visible at the base of the very large/thick area (about 2" above the bottom left corner of the photo).

Standing in the new home. The sticks on the right are the ones visible from the photo above.

Sandra and BoP...many thanks for posting the wonderful photos of the Delta/OWL area. These are pictures I've been meaning to take, and share, for quite some time now but just never got around to it.
2 more of Boundary Bay (sorry the dog is in both, but at the time that was the purpose of the photos).
The bay at extreme low tide.

JKR it's not "smelly" it's refreshing Titter. You should be there when a seal carcass washes up; Mickey once found one and proceeded to roll in it the way dogs do, and then we had to drive all the way home! Now that was smelly!

The shoreline.
