1:00pm- It's really sunny on the nest this morning. PPO Mom has her back to us at the moment.

Weather update

PPO Mom has not laid a third egg to my knowledge. I am thinking that we will only have two eggs this season since the first was laid on September 3rd and the second on September 5th. Today makes 5 days since the second was laid., and eggs are usually laid 48 hours apart. The total time for laying is 7-8 days.

4:06pm- PPO Mom just rolled her eggs. The cam angle makes her moving about blurry so I couldn't capture the roll.

Tracy's post for today:

Pot Plant Owl

11 Sept: still two eggs. Could be seeing a collection of 'firsts' this year. PPO seems content and relaxed in her new pot. I must admit that I like it for her. She is protected from the blazing sun. Shee has more protection from the rain and / or hail from the balcony pillar and a wooden screen on the side. PPO is also well hidden from the crows flying around.
But most of all - I like the new pot for totally selfish reasons. I can now say that PPO is technically a metre closer to me when I am sleeping.
Maybe next year she'll nest in our bedroom in one of out indoor pot plants...

12:21pm- With the sun shinning, PPO Mom is well hidden under the potted plant!
The amount of time she has been spending incubating her eggs pretty well suggested to me that she was only laying 2 eggs this season. The post from Tracy has pretty well confirmed it!

Hancock has their link to the PPO cam streaming now! Thank you JudyB for that!!! Here's the link:

This is the link I prefer to use as it has the date and time just above the picture which makes it perfect when running videos and taking s'caps!
