According to the blog - the youngest (Teeny) fell out of the plant pot on October 28 and has not been able to figure out the jungle gym to get back up.The parents continue to feed it on the floor where it has been using an "owl box".

Link to photo of Teeny behind the owl box - Oct. 29.

The blog reports that Teeny had actually fallen out of the nest earlier (Oct. 12) Although it was replaced in the nest, it was very small, covered in mites, and not eating Sad - so they had it checked by a bird vet and sent to Free Me rehab centre (where Bafana was). It was returned to the nest on Oct. 18. Although out of the nest again now - they do emphasize it appears healthy and is being fed. Smile

Lots of flapping and one chick makes it out to the sticks. All this activity woke up the other chick.
I hope the third chick is somewhere on the balcony hiding from the camera view.

From the blog:
This morning, the bigger chicks are sleeping in the nest pot plant together. Teeny is on the floor on the side of the pot plant container - out of view of the camera. All look well-fed and happy. Pot Plant Owl dozes in the far pot plant - looking as tired as I feel this morning.

It looks like there is just one chick in the pot plant right now; the one they call "Little Explorer" must be out exploring. Teeny sounds quite feisty - the blog says it successfully defended a shoe from one of its siblings this morning. Left thumb up

16:42 - another chick is on the balcony floor to the left of the plant stand.

I just looked in, and it looks as if there's one chick perched on the edge of the planter, and another inside - not sure where the third one is, though it sounds from the blog as if the youngest one is staying in an owl box on the floor of the balcony some of the time.

I also learned from the blog (there's a link in the first post) that two of the chicks now have names! The first to be named was the youngest, and the nickname "Teeny" given to it when it was removed for rehab is now its official name. And the oldest is named Jelani "The Mighty One"! I think Africam is sponsoring the naming competition, and the name of the middle chick is due to be announced soon.

The blog also has some nice pictures of the chicks, taken by a friend of the homeowners. Smile

A better look at the chick that was in the plant pot.

One of them out on the perch - I think it might be Jelani - he/she is supposed to have a bit more black on the side of the face.

Is that Teeny on the balcony floor, in front of the jungle gym, in your screenshots?

ETA:
I just took a peek at the cam - in a different light that object appears to be the shoe that Teeny was defending the other day. Roll eyes
