9:26a pst I have been watching for about 15 minutes and two owlets are active. ONe did some wing stretches. I 'm concerned about the one in the back corner. It has not stirred from it's position lying down. The largest walked on h/h but it did not get up.

Great pics - thanks, Annie!

I was watching a bit of flapping - they are definitely starting to build up some muscle! Smile

It sounded like "someone" (maybe human) was making hooting noises! The owlets perked up to listen and then it frightened them! They realized it wasn't going to hurt them and settled into just following the sound.

I have heard the parents give a very soft hoot when they are coming in with something - then I realised they don't always come in - so the owlets settle down again!! Grin

HI, A food delivery on the part of the mother. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02Wfv4TLORk. The sound that they emit is very similar to the one of its relatives majors.
