Did the tree loose a branch? Seems there is zero coverage over the nest.
Second question is it at all possible for lady harriet to be carrying eggs from m15.?
Slim been around today?

Hi Opal, only the ones Harriet has been snatching. Eagles, and hawks, will sometimes break even shade providing branches from the nest tree for easier access in and out. When M15 was still with Harriet, it seemed that she was grabbing more branches from the nest tree this year. And if you think about it, M15 still had quite the time finding easy access into the nest with his branches and/or just himself. Harriet may instinctively been "clearing a path" for M15. Don't you like my logic? Wink

There are branches above that provide shade. As the sun moves throughout the day, there are times when the whole nest is sunny though.

No Harriet is not carrying eggs from M15. In the past Harriet has laid eggs the end of November so her fertile period will be in November.

Yes, "slim" the sub adult was with her today. I was here to post the video when I saw your questions.
