It's possible, Mary - and I have to confess I'm not quite sure which end we were seeing. I'm not watching now - I've been trying to limit my time per their request to let others view - but will try to check again a little later.

I'm thinking that enough of the chick is out that any parts that have shell stuck on will make a fashion statement briefly, then the shell will break off in a day or two (or maybe sooner, given the way adults tumble chicks). #2 did move a bit while I was watching, though mostly slept.
