The live cam remains off line....perhaps ... Patrick is on vacation not sure?

I posted a question about the cam below the live stream window so hopefully the webmaster or whoever is responsible for the IT support answers my question.

Hope it comes back on line soon!

Have a good day all.

One of the folks who posts on the Maine forum shared this message from Patrick in response to a question about the cam - "We are having an issue with the internet. Sorry for the late response I am waiting to hear back from the caretaker before I try to schedule a trip for this fall. I will let you know as I can get more info."

I do wish someone at BRI posted messages like this so they were more readily available - and also know that the folks there are very busy, and the camera is not a major focus of their work at this point, so in some ways we are lucky that they are willing to try to keep it running, as it is more a public service than anything else these days.

It's now December 26, and the cam is still not up and running. We haven't seen an recent update from the folks at BioDiversity Research Institute (BRI), but last we knew, they were hoping to be able to have a cam on the nest, though it wasn't clear if they could have one with the same view (if I'm remembering correctly, the tree with the current cam is unsafe to climb, and the terrain is not conducive to bringing in a giant crane or whatever - and I think there aren't many trees as tall as the nest tree where a cam could be placed) - but last we heard BRI was hoping to get someone up there to look at the options, and then see if they could get permission to do what seemed most workable, and funding to pay for it.

So - I'm going to be optimistic and lock this thread, and open the thread for the 2015 nesting season, in the hopes that we have something to watch.

Here's the link for the thread for the 2015 nesting season - forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=697288

And here's my last s'cap from 2014, taken August 1st. love
