Eaglewoman, putytatt and I met up this evening on the trail and were treated to nice views of Patriot and Liberty WubClapping It was getting a little chilly and as we were getting ready to leave just befor 5:30, Liberty flew in with what we think was a fish. She had departed about 20 minutes before in a north west direction in what appeared to be a very rapid pace. Poor PatriotSad It didn't look like she was too interested in sharing.

:dunno: Sorry, but no scaps or live pics today! I didn't get much time to watch the eaglecam today, but when I did have it on later in the afternoon, I didn't see Pat or Libby at all!

I went down there around 4:45pm tonite and Patriot didn't show up at the nest until 5:30! Liberty finally arrived at 5:40 and joined Patriot who had moved down to "Lover's Limb" below the nest. I had just packed up my spotting scope when she arrived, so I didn't get to see her fly in. But, I did hear a lot of calling between the 2 of them. They seemed as happy as I was to see them together!love I'm not sure if they mated or not because I was too busy trying to set my scope up again!!!Titter

When I left at 5:45(yeah, it's starting to stay light later!!!), they were still sitting up on that branch together. Too dark by the time they arrived for pictures or video...

Oh, and I received an e-mail from Denise Yergensen at Caltrans and she informed me that she has started her own blog about our beloved eagles on the Caltrans website. Here's the link if you want to take a peek, there is some info on there from the Biologists who have been contracted to monitor the eagles. Nothing that we over here at HWF forum don't already know, in my opinion!!!

Thanks for the link to the CalTrans/Turtle Bay blog. It made no mention of the intruder. I wonder if they ever saw it? :dunno:
