The cam is back! Phew

4:46PM It was stuck on this view for the first few minutes...

It's now back on the nest, but I can't see anyone. Guess Ma or Pa are hunkered down in the nest, incubating those eggs.

4:50PM OK, now I see a white head! Cool

ETA...

Looking at my little ol map of Hornby, I think the Peters' tree is almost in front of the nest tree in the view we have now or maybe a little to the front left...I think. Remember, I'm directionally challenged. Whistling

ETA again...

I asked in chat, and yes, the Peters' tree is in front of the nest tree and we can't see it from this angle, but can see Ma and Pa flying down to it.

OK, gotta go for in round 2! :hello:

This is such an eggciting day!!! Thanks to all who keep the forum going. Thanks Beans for posting the videos. It is so wonderful to see the sights and sounds of Hornby. No other nest is quite like this one. Red Heart

It will be interesting to experience the new view. Look forward to seeing postings of what I miss during the day.

Take care all and happy Sitting eagle watching!!! Grin

wave Nightowl, beans (thanks again for the videos!), Carolyn, Litz, jungleland, and everyone!!

Well, what a day! There is something about just listening to the sounds at Hornby that give me that good feeling. It has been interesting to get a little tour of the island. It feels like the first day you are on vacation and you are taking it all in and trying to get your bearings. Pretty soon it will become very familiar. This is a very treasured place for us all, if I may take such a liberty to say. Smile

I have put an arrow in the scap I took earlier to indicate where I believe our cam view was aimed in the past. Now I may be way off here, but I thought it may help others who may be trying to figure out directions like I am!

Here is the nest at nightfall @ 7.20

ETA: Just a few moments ago they did a close up shot of the nest, and I could see an adult's backside digging in the nest, probably after performing an egg roll (or two!). Grin
