Eagle in the nest - looks Mom-sized, but I haven't seen the tell-tale feather yet. Moving a stick at the top of the nest.

A quick check of the nest bowl, then a bit of digging in the fluff. Then down to the near side of the nest.

Sherri from the Maine forum thought she saw a band, and since Dad is banded and neither of us saw Mom's tousled feathers, I'm revising my guess and think the visit above was by Dad.

Eagle in the nest - haven't seen Mom's feather or Dad's band yet - but I'm thinking this is the male again. Spent a few minutes checking out the nest bowl.

Still no eggs here, but fresh "fluff" in the nest bowl, and Mom spent the night a couple of nights, though she wasn't there last night. Not sure who is visiting this morning - I think it's Mom, but haven't had a clear look at the feather that sticks out from her side (the easiest way for me to ID her, until it falls out or gets preened back into place).

Lots of coming and going so far this morning, along with a bit of work on the nest.

9:46 am
I think this is Mom - but it is hard to tell.

Whoever is there now is busily moving sticks around and spiffing up the sides of the nest. Now checking the nest bowl. I think this may be Dad - head looks sleeker, and body doesn't seem quite as long.

The s'cap below is from 1:05 pm - and whichever adult this is, he or she is still in the same position.

From this angle, this looks like Mom's more rounded head to me - but I've been fooled by them before.

Another change of position - and now she's in shadows, so it's really hard to tell if she's fluffing up.

The cam has been off for several days, and came back online late this afternoon. I did notice that the nest was empty, though I didn't get a s'cap. Folks on the Maine forum reported seeing both adults there for about 10 minutes.

I was out this evening, and returned to see someone - likely Mom - asleep in the nest.

Here are a couple of s'caps taken between 9:47 and 10:20 pm

Busy time at this nest - no eggs yet, but lots of comings and goings. There's also a possibility that there are more than two adults in the area, though it's hard to tell. I'm afraid I didn't have time to post anything here yesterday, but there's a lot of info on the Maine Window-on-Wildlife forum, starting here - http://www.window-on-wildlife.com/index ... 5#msg35235

8:50 am
The female arrived at the nest a little while ago, and is lying in the nest bowl. Looking at her, you'd think there were eggs, and she spent the night again last night. Very strange.

One of them is on the nest. I can't decide if he or she is nervous, or about to lay an egg, or ate lunch too fast. :dunno:

She(?) settled down after a few minutes and lay in the nest until around 3 pm, then left.

I think this is her back again at 3:59 pm

She stayed in that position for a few minutes, then moved around the nest a bit, and is now digging in the nest bowl.
