Forgot to say hi to JudyB and Donna! Welcome back.

The lovies are back on the nest again. Dad arrived first. Mom just a few seconds later. Mom is having a bit of a bad hair day. Titter

Lonette, some cross posting there and mom is having a bit of a bad hair day. It is so good to see them. They look so fit.

It is soooo nice to be back.

ETA: Oh my gosh: There's a fishy on the nest. I wonder if Dad is wooing Mom.Cheers

Or is this Mom eating? I don't know. It so helps if both are on the nest. :dunno:

Well, now I'm not sure if this was a fishy or a birdie. Hmmmmm - Mom or Dad, fishy or birdie, so many questions, so little time, so few answers.Rolling on floor laughing

It was a birdie! Here's a post from Friends of Blackwater NWR Facebook page:

Some good action on the Eagle Cam today. Early this morning we had what looked like some possible bonding, and then this evening Dad brought a mallard for Mom! Love is in the air. And it's a promising sign to see the male bringing food gifts for the female, showing he's a good provider.

Hi everyone! Great pictures, Lonette, Donna and Mary! Laurad from the Maine Windows on Wildlife forum made an animation of some of the action today - link is here - http://www.window-on-wildlife.com/index ... 4#msg27764. I think you caught most of the action she did, but it is a different way to view it.

Just checked, and first egg was January 13 last year, though that was unusually early for them. So who knows what they might do this year. Smile

Hi all -

I didn't get to check on our parents at all yesterday. I have the cam up now. It's 12:24 p.m. nest time and all is well. We do have some food on the nest (may be nestovers) that either Mom or Dad have carefully hidden from others. Titter

This is the second day that I have seen the eagles in the nest at 5:00. One of them was still on the nest when I left to post.
