Still unable to get the cam up .... weather is most certainly the cause.

There has been confirmed tornadoes yesterday and today in OK but so far none at either of the OK nests. Hopefully this storm system moves thru the area both in TX and OK without causing any injury or harm fingers crossed crossed.

One of the Tornados that touched down yesterday was at Lawton, OK
so here is a map that shows Lawton and the distance from Lawton to
both the Stillwater (Sooner) and Sequoyah (Vian) OK areas and nests.

Looks far on the map but really it is not that far.

You are welcome Debs..and thank you for your caps and coverage..

I was reading on the comments below the cam..

Date: 11/08/2011 4:30 pm CDT
Comment: One Seq. Eagle can be seen clearly in tree. The other may be on lower part of nest in Widecam. A short time ago, the male brought food to the nest, followed a few seconds later by the female. He deposited the prey on the side of the nest and stepped do.

Then this one Name: cont\'d
Date: 11/08/2011 4:32 pm CDT
Comment: down into the nest bowl and back up on the side of the nest closest to us in Nestcam. He then flew. She ate what he brought to the nest.

Bev :hello: great to see you here. Thanks I was quite worried about this family when I saw the wicked weather. I kept checkin the cam and could not get it to come up not even once...after my early morning post. I did see those comments below too and I wondered about accuracy of the information.

Looks like the nest survived the storms okay. The weather is greatly improved there today presently sunny, clear skies and 15 C.

Some branches, leaves may have been lost in the storms Nodding yes as it looks like we can see more openings in the tree now at least that is how it looks to me today...but sometimes the lighting can play tricks on us too....but aside from that everything looks okay.

Donna Sorry you are having trouble gettin the cam.....and yep I get the cam from this main page or this link
http://www.suttoncenter.org/pages/live_eagle_camera

Bev We can always hope hey...the weather was horrible there yesterday tornadoes in many areas on the 7th and 8th and I could not get the cam at all so I was rather surprised :dunno: when someone posted about seeing the eagles as the cam was down all day Nodding yes ..so perhaps the time stamp is off that would certainly explain it the post. I will feel much better when I see this pair together side by side in the nest again. Just saw the Sooner pair Clapping Wub
