Great pic for comparing size difference, Eaglet. Love your wing pictures. Wub

Have been watching them (recording) for nearly an hour (maybe more). Am overwhelmed with the cuteness (is that a word?) of these JL eaglets. Wish I could use the Japanese word "kawaii" here because then I could say cuteness, adorable, precious, lovable, and/or innocent all in one breath.

11:40am,
Little is trying to nap. Good luck with that 'cause Big Sis is very active in the playpen.

Little says: "Okay, I'm awake now, Sis."

11:58 am,
Both of the 'lets use their wings for balance already. Believe they know that they will someday fly oh-so-high in the sky.

Thanks so much for all your pictures and reports - I've been focusing on White Rock and a couple of other cams so haven't been able to stop by very often. I am noticing that the older one is looking very prickly as her feathers start to come in - and the foot is getting bigger by the hour! Smile

Thanks for the picture, eaglet999! The younger one is two weeks old today, and the older one was two weeks old on Thursday - which means they're getting old enough to not need to be brooded that much - and they do seem to be taking advantage of that to explore the nest a bit and find new places to nap!

I'm catching up a bit here - the slide shows from the 26th and 27th are pretty short because the cam was still a bit fuzzy - making it hard to see the darker down and tiny feathers coming in which I was hoping to feature. The ones from the 28th and 29th have more pics and show more details.

It is great to see the eaglets doing so well - and so many fish!
