And, here is the 2nd video of Patriot sitting on the branch below the nest waiting for Liberty to fly down and join him. I took this one Friday night, a little earlier than the first video, so the lighting is betterLeft thumb up

Hats off to you, eaglewoman, for kickstarting the 2011 bald eagle breeding season at Turtle Bay with your chronicle of observations, photos and videos.

It is reassuring to know that Liberty and Patriot are thriving, yet again, this season!

Thank You

Sitting eagleSitting eagle Here is a short video of Patriot & Liberty sitting above their nest at dusk on Wednesday. They have been doing a lot of preening, but not much of anything else. I haven't seen them on the branch below the nest(aka: "Lover's Limb"Wink much this week. I also haven't seen them in the nest, or working on the nest much, but I am only down there just before it gets dark(5-6 pm).

Just a reminder to the local folks, the eaglecam has been turned on in the Turtle Bay Visitor's Center. And December 1st is the official date for the eaglecam to start streaming on the internet!!!

Hi Turtle Bay,

Grin Thanks much for the video, EW! Patriot and Liberty look all lovey-dovey sitting there together.

Yes CAL04, they are definitely a bonded pair! Sometimes it looks as if they are one bird instead of two!love

Puzzled Just got back in town yesterday and was down near the nest at 2 different times today and did not see Patriot or Liberty anywhere?!?
My husband and I walked down there at our usual time tonite, and they were not in the nest area as usual, nor in the "Family Tree" area?
I hope this was just a fluke and that they have not decided to move out of the area?:dunno:
Will check again tomorrow~keep your fingers crossed folks!!!

Smile Good news to report, Patriot & Liberty were back on the Victory Branch near the nest last night(Tuesday) at their usual time. I took some video, but it was pretty dark by 5:10 pm already!
I'll post it as soon as I get a chance..

Here is the short video I took yesterday from the new pedestrian/bike path along Hwy 44. The sounds you hear in the background are cars going by on the highway. I like the sounds from the pond area better myself!
I wonder if there was sound on the eaglecam if it would pick up the highway noise? That wouldn't be enjoyable!
