We thought it might be fun to add some crafts to this section. These are for students in Preschool to 2nd grade. I will continue to look for more and make up some plans for owls....watch our cam for the Spotted Eagle under live cams.....and other raptors and birds. I was looking for ideas using leaves. ( Many schools have die cut patterns for leaves. They are also in the Dollar Stores now. )

I used small leaves in these crafts.

The owl can be various sizes. Basically I used two rectangles and rounded them off for the head and body of the owl. The rest is pretty easy to see.
I did cut off the paper under the leaves so that the leaves were the at the edge. This looked more ruffled and feathery.

Poem for the back.
I'm an owl flying so free
Come fly with me
Hoot hoo hoo! ..................................................................... This is my own poem so no worries about copyrights.

I am out at night
in the bright moonlight
Hoot hoo hoo!!

I ran across this craft project on Facebook and it's too cute not to share, and such an easy thing for kids to make.
