Two visits to Elizabeth Lake this week,
The second on a windy Friday morning
To check out the water bugs and insects.

After 6 years of following your classroom adventures and fabulous pictures on our HWF forum I want to be the first here to wish you a VERY HAPPY RETIREMENT Stewart. I hope as your students grow older that they will pop in occasionally to reminisce on all the fun they had while in your class.

We will all miss you here on this thread...
....BUT...... I do hope you will share your future adventures on our Wildlife on the Trails thread forum/index.php?forum=30

and by the way, it was great to work with you at Gordon Terrace for the past 14 years ! I can't believe it has been that long. Wooh

Happy Trails to You !!

Hi Judy,

It's been a pleasure working with you as well. I'm hoping one of my colleagues will continue to post their adventures with their kids at Gordon Terrace Elementary next year!

But we have one more field trip to make on June 21, National Aboriginal Day.

Look out also for A Kids' Guide to Elizabeth Lake - 2016

Happy retirement, Stewart. We've appreciated your contribution on the forum here over the years. David Hancock and I really enjoyed our trip back there where he gave a talk in your school, thanks to JudyR for arranging it.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for your kind words. I'm just sorry that I couldn't have posted more entries showing raptors at Elizabeth Lake, one of our favourite spots to explore and appreciate, but we've only seen hawks, turkey vultures, or bald eagles from a distance on the few occasions we've been lucky enough to spot them.

Wishing you all the best in your retirement, Mr. Wilson - and looking forward to the report from your final field trip of the year.

I've learned so much from your posts - about the ways things are different - and similar - where I am and where you are.

Thank you.

And I do hope another teacher will pick up the torch, and share future adventures at Elizabeth Lake and the other wonderful places you've shared with those of us reading from around the world.
