A visit to Ft. Steele Farms
With our grade 6 buddies
Brought back memories for many of them
Who had made the trip
When they were in grade 3.

The grade 6s
Seemed as excited
As the grade 3s
When they got to pick
Their own pumpkins!
But they could only take one
If they could carry it
To the bus
Without any help!

This is the last spoonful of soup
We made from all the vegetables
We brought back from Ft. Steele Farms.

The ingredients were
2 cartons of chicken soup stock,
2 onions,
2 leeks,
6 potatoes,
And 4 carrots.

Now you may be wondering
Why the soup turned out purple?
Maybe the purple carrots
Have the answer?

Then off to City Hall
To meet the Mayor.
Some of us
Got to be councillors,
And one of us
Was the Mayor of Cranbrook
For a few precious minutes.

With a little help

Then down to the old cells
In the basement.
Did everyone get out safely?
