The third picture is of flying trumpeter swans and you can see the white eagle heads in the trees.

I'm planning to make it back for next year's festival, the volume of eagles blew my mind!

That would be wonderful Lee! I hope you can be accommodated at our B & B next year. Let Karen know you want to come back. It was great to see you again and I am so glad you enjoyed your visit despite the scary driving conditions and being separated from the group.

Don't worry, Lee. I already have you on my wait list for rooms at the bed and breakfast.

I've never posted a picture of myself on the forum but here I am with Thora, the Golden Eagle, at the Radical Raptors exhibit at Leq'a:mel, the location of the festival exhibitors fair. The founder is a colleague of David Hancock and the two men have much in common. They both became falconers at the age of 11 and both of them have presented falcons to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Gary and his assistant, Angela, have volunteered to come with David and me when we do school visits or whenever our festival needs a raptor for an event. So that is exciting.

This year at our HWF booth we were given two eagle purses as a donation for whatever amount we could get out of them. They were produced by Shannon Leslie and we thank her very much for this beautiful contribution. We held a silent auction to determine who would get them. Shannon also told me that she can put any picture on one of the purses that she sells. She also gave me her contact information if anyone else is interested. Thank you Shannon!! Also thanks to SandyB for taking these photos for me.

As usual all my pics are twice clickable to view them full screen size.

Hi everyone, we had a fantastic time at FVBEF! It was great meeting up with everyone and meeting new people.
Most of my pictures were taken through a window on the boat tour.Grin
