Osprey, 8-12-10. This snag, visible from our kitchen window, often provides a good viewpoint for the local eagles, and Iíve also spotted a red-tailed hawk atop the snag. This is the first time Iíve spotted an osprey, however. The first three photos are taken from our backyard. I was able to move closer for additional photos. The osprey was ripping apart what looked like a flounder or some other fish. The osprey ate the entire fish and stayed in the snag for more than an hour before moving off. The osprey was lucky an eagle was not nearby. If so, the eagle probably would have tried to steal the ospreyís fish.

Pat: I bet you were surprised when you spotted the owl. I also liked the moose photos; something we do not have in this area.
