I thought this was a Thicket Tinamou but now I am not sure. He was in the pond area of the Tropical Education Centre which is mostly dried up because they haven't had rain for months.

This fellow was also in the clearing by the pond area. I was walking along the path by myself on my way from the cabana to the dining room and there he was. I had seen many lizards there and at Caye Caulker already but nothing like this one. I took a quick picture but didn't hang around too long. I would have been braver if someone had been with me. The osprey nest is on a power pole right at the end of the airport runway on Caye Caulker. This adult was in the nest just before we took off on our first leg home. Note the ubiquitous plastic in the nest.

Thanks Pat. It was a marvellous trip. An adventure beyond my wildest dreams and hopefully the first of many to come! I have many more pix and videos I hope I'll be able to post them in sequence quickly enough without interruption.
