8:16 am Aerating nest and then settling down. I find it amusing that eagles, no matter what type, seem to hang on to the edges of the nest while rocking their bodies back and forth to get just the right 'fit' over the eggs.

Eha had been panting on the nest. She decided to stand up over the eggs. After several minutes, she was rewarded with a food delivery from Koit. The exchange was done behind the tree trunk so not sure what it was. Could have been a vole. Looked fat. Click pics for larger views.

The Jay is nuisance. I remember The Jay being very nasty last year too when the incubation time was going on... But I don´t remember seeing the jay any longer when Kalev was growing up last year.

18.49 Koit brought something. Eha gulped it down immeadiately.


18.52 Koit incubating meantime Eha was away. It is very hot day.

18.56 Eha returns with a stick.

19.21 Koit made another delivery very soon. A frog, I think. Eha gulped it down fast again.

5:13 am Eha sleepy



5:58 am she has moved but she is still sleepy.




At 7:45 am Koit brought something for her to gulp down. Did not see what it was as my cam froze for a few seconds. Eha was talking away and Koit stood around for a minute or so listening to her, then he flew off. Eha continued to talk. Some of her talking reminds me of Stephi from the other nest last year. Can't find a 'wistful' smiley.

8:06 am Koit brought another little morsel for Eha. She gulped it down very quickly. She then flew off calling and Koit considered the eggs.







No sign of friend Jay.

It is interesting that Koit brings the eggs to him, rather then going to the eggs and sitting on them. Eha continues to call from the distance.
