Thanks for the info and the link, Scott. I must get back over to that forum to check things out! I haven't been there in a while. I have heard of, but never seen a raccoon dog---very interesting!

You're welcome Mary. Their forum is quite informative and the bonus is they take lots of s'caps so we can see what we've missed on the cam.
I hadn't heard of a raccoon dog and couldn't figure out what RD meant on their forum until I saw the pic.
No eagles each time I checked the cam then just as I was finally going to bed one lands in the tree nearest today's food drop. (Around 12:40 cam time.)

It just watched the ravens and crows eating.

A couple of ravens perched near it for a while then left. A hooded crow then moved in for a closer look.

It was still perched in the tree when I left.

Castor..nice pictures and observations about the WTE juvies and their bands. Thank you!

Scott...I have been a member of that forum for several years. I started to go there for the same reason...sometimes I'm in bed when the cam is on and I would be lost without that forum as to what is happening in the nests! Smile Many of the LSE and WTE scaps that I post here are with the permission of the members over there who actually took them and I do give them credit. I just haven't visited it since the LSE fledged last summer. I need to go and find out what's happening.

ETA..I looked at the cam just now and of course it's dark but I did see a red light and I can tell that it's snowing like crazy!!

Thanks for the pics and information Castor.
By the time I got the cam up it had quit snowing Mary. It seems to be the raven's turn at the assorted frozen offerings now. Smile
