I don't think I was terribly entertaining for Karen (LOL), but I did my best to take her mind off things for a little while. She has been a wonderful friend to me while I have been going through a terribly stressful time in my life for the past 8 months (with no end in sight). I am so thankful that she invited me into the "Hancock family" at one of David's lectures, when I thought there was nothing I could possibly help with. I have thoroughly enjoyed manning the table at the events around the Lower Mainland, going on the boat tours, attending the lunches, the Open House, and going to the Victoria owl Fledgefest. I was very upset to miss attending The Bald Eagle Festival this year due to personal issues.

I don't know what the future holds for me, but I will never lose my love for the eagles and will help out whenever I can.

So happy to hear this change of events and Karen is going home. As we live close to each other I will hopefully be able to take on some of help to give David and Liisa some relief such as grocery shopping or running Keith around for what's needed. Liisa, I am happy you have been able to be there for Karen and hugs and prayers coming your way for what is happening in your life. hug

Oh my goodness!

I did not know of the accident, or the surgery, until this morning when an update on the Hancock facebook page popped up.

I am thankful that the surgery was successful, and that Karen is apparently now home, with her brother there to help her out. I will definitely keep her in my thoughts and prayers for a quick, and uneventful, recovery!

Those accidents that come out of no where certainly make life take a quick turn!! I'm so very grateful, that with time, she is going to be alright!

Resolve to be tender with the young;
Compassionate with the aged;Sympathetic with the striving;
And tolerant of the weak and wrong.
Sometime in your life you will have been all of these.

Have a wonderful day!

Great news that everything is coming together for Karen. Smile
I look forward to talking to her when she is home.
Liisa, I am sorry to hear you are experiencing a challenging time in your life. Hugs to you and thank you for keeping Karen company in the hospital. Sounds like it was good for both of you.

Thank you Lynda!

Karen and David are now on their way to the airport to pick up Keith! David phoned me and asked me to post this. They should be home around 4pm.

I know how caring and helpful Marg and Earl sunshinecoast can be, am thrilled they have been able to help get Keith up here. Left thumb up And Liissa I am sorry to hear of your problems and know Karen would prove a great sounding board for you. The HW family is filled with so many caring people. Karen couldn't be in better hands. I'm sure David is a godsend to her. This is a true example of "it takes a village". hug
