Thanks sunny. I am happy to hear the surgery is over and hopefully Karen is now one step closer to a full recovery!
I look forward to what David will tell us later.

Hi everyone,

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I just now spoke with David.

Karen's surgery went well but she will remain in hospital at least until she can meet with the physio therapist which probably won't be until Monday. David said the break was quite serious and the doctor has said that Karen will not be able to weight bear for some time. He will be seeing Karen tomorrow and will discuss with Karen then what their next step will be re her brother Keith who is prepared to come up to help her, so it is just a matter of sorting out the how and when at this point.

Any messages can be sent to David at

david@hancockwildlife.org

and he will pass them on to Karen.

Sharon thanks so much for keeping us updated. Sounds like it might be awhile until Karen's bones mend; hopefully she will be home soon and able to enjoy her brother's company.

Thank you David, Sharon, JudyB, Marg, Elle, and all that has kept us updated on our Karen's injury and road back to wellness. I have sent this email to David for Karen.

Karen, Iím so sorry to hear of your injury to your ankle. You are now on the road to healing post your surgical repair. It may look like a long trail to wellness and mobility, but there will be a end to your rehab trail and you will be back doing the things you love so much. I have patients with similar injuries and surgeries that come to my rehab facility unable to bear weight and walk. With physical therapy, rest, and healing they are soon up and on the road back to their normal lives. You will be in my thoughts and prayers constantly my friend.

Hugs and Love,

Linda
