Hi Doreen......

Lovely to hear from you! The window has decals on it already. And there are blinds behind it inside. The cardinal sees himself and that is what he does. If not this window, then others.
At this point I have tried what I can do. He does not hit it hard thankfully.

It's great to hear of Whitey enjoying his stories. They are such smart birds.

Hi Everyone!

Hugs,
carolyn

Doree......
just today I heard DIL Charlotte talking to the kitties & smiled & said that I should make a recording of us each talking to our pets.
Everyone has their own connection & way of talking to them and it's always cute to hear. It seems we take on a whole different tone, pitch, persona with each individual one.
Sometimes I hear myself talking to them & think, boy that would sound so funny if someone were listening. Titter

Thank You for the WCV link. Left thumb up

Carolyn.......I find that it's mostly in the winter, when the sun swings low across the sky, that certain windows show reflection more so. Sometimes it's the reflection of the trees that cause them to be disorientated.
Your guy is definitely defending his territory. I'd say his nest & mate will be well protected. Smile

Stay warm, Luvies.............I feel very fortunate that our low will only be l4 deg. tonight. Phew

Hugs all around Smile

Neat story about Dr. Lynn, Mike & Charles Kuralt.

It's hard to imagine that kind of cold in a warm home, much less a den or tent. I've often wondered how in the world any animal can endure that kind of cold, especially the ones that dwell above ground. How can a large bird, more so a small bird living above ground, survive even one night of that?

Charles Kuralt hosted one of my fav shows, to this day. Sunday Morning on CBS. Smile

As devastating as ice can be, it sure is a beauty of nature. That icy windowpane is a work of nature art. Once again, there's that natural flow of things........ice crystals, bare tree limb shadows, river/tributaries/streams, arteries, ......the flow of things. Nodding yes

Good Sunday Evening NestieLuvs

Just a few words tonight...

DoreenBig hugs, So glad you are free of the drain now and I'm sure that's a relief. It is
good that you will have your treatments close to home. Somehow I did not remember, if I
ever knew, that you are a breast cancer survivor and wow! 17 years!! You will beat this one
too.
Sweet little Whitey likes the sound of your voice.
Wow-43 cubs! Hate to contemplate why they are orphans.Thank you for the WCV link...will
check it out later.

Pea, Thank you so much for bringing us Amy's post. Like her mama, she is very sweet.
Nanc never strays far from my mind and I will always miss her.
I made your Shortbread cookies for a friend of mine (she can't eat chocolate), at Christmas
and she absolutely loved them.
How is Harley?

Texie, grateful is a perfect One Word!

Jeannie, I loved the first picture you posted from Jane and of course, the Moose is very
cool...sorry, I should say coldGrin.
Most of the country is in a deep freeze and here we are 71.

Scott, I can't wait to get caught up with Holly and to check out her cam.....tomorrow.Nodding yes

ByebyeElle & Iona

Linda, Gorgeous photos on your thread. You always see the most interesting things in
that area. I have to tell you that I thought I posted to you on your previous set of photos.
I just know I made a post and now I discover, it isn't there. The only thing I can think is
I was interrupted before hitting submit, forgot about it and just didn't go back to submit. Either
that or I'm losing my mind...always possible Wooh
So cute that SweetiePie.

Carolyn, Hope that Cardinal figures out he's seeing his own handsome face.

I'm sure I have forgotten things I wanted to say; they'll come to me later I'm sure.Whistling
